JAPANESE LEGAL SCHOLARS VISIT THE SUPREME COURT

On Friday, September 21, a delegation from Japan visited the Supreme Court. Visitors were Professors from Nagoya University Ichihashi Katsuya, Sato Humito and Yasuda Rie, and Professor Honda Takio from Ryukoku University (Kyoto) and Deputy Director of the Center for Public Law Studies Tsay Igor representing the University of World Diplomacy and Economy (Tashkent).

JUDGE AIGARS STRUPISS IS APPOINTED AS CHAIR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL CASES AND MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE JUDICIARY

On September 10, judge Aigars Strupiss was appointed as chair of the Department of Civil Cases at the Plenary Session of the Supreme Court. According to the Law "On Judicial Power", the chairs of departments are appointed by the General Meeting of Judges for a term of five years.
