On 22-25 June, Ivars Bickovics, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court participates in the conference of Chief Justices of Central and Eastern Europe in Tbilisi, Georgia. 

This year, discussions at the conference, which brings together Chief Justices from 23 countries, will touch reasoning of court rulings, electronic case filing, terms of trials, alternative dispute resolution, and mechanisms of judicial disciplinary responsibility, continuing judicial education and means of strengthening of public trust.

Conferences of Chief Justices of Central and Eastern Europe have been organised since 2011, promoting discussion forum about reform of court system in Central and Eastern European countries.  

Conferences have been organised with support of CEELI (Central Eastern Europe Law Initiative) Institute. CEELI Institute is an independent, international, non-profit organisation, which has developed professional and international experience of practising lawyers.
