I. Radzevica has been appointed for the post of the senator in the Department of Criminal Cases of the Senate, and A. Uminskis will execute duties of the judge in the Chamber of Criminal Cases

Since the 1st of February Inguna Radzevica has started to work in the post of the senator of the Department of Criminal Cases of the Senate. Decision about appointment of Inguna Radzevica, the judge of the Chamber of Criminal Cases, for the post of the senator was adopted in general session of the senators of the Department of Criminal Cases of the Senate on the 19th of January.
Inguna Radzevica was born in 1963. She graduated the Faculty of Law of the State University of Latvia. Since 1990 she has worked as the judge in the court of Kurzemes district of Riga city and Riga regional court. I. Radzevica has worked in the Chamber of Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court since 2005. In 2009 she was elected for the post of the member of Judicial Qualifications Committee. The judge was given the 1st qualification class.
However, the Board of Justice instructed Aivars Uminskis, the judge of Riga regional court, to execute duties of judge in the Chamber of Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court for the term of vacancy of the judge since the 1st of February.
Aivars Uminskis was born in 1973. He took his bachelor degree and qualification of lawyer, and also Master of Law in Latvia’s Police Academy. He had worked in Prosecutor’s Office, since 2002 – in Latgales regional court and since 2005 – in Judicial Panel of Criminal Cases of Riga regional court. He was given the 2nd qualification class.
