Ivars Bickovics, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, participates in seminar organized by the Ministry of Justice of Moldova “About reform of court system” that takes place in Chisinau on the 21st and 22nd of March.
The Chiefs Justices of the Supreme Courts of Latvia and Lithuania, as well as heads of Lithuanian institutions of judicial self-government will share their experience in seminar devoted to judicial self-government system, its independence, efficiency and development.
Representatives of Supreme Courts of the Baltic States will also meet Oleg Efrim, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, Nikolay Timofti, the Chair of the Board of Justice of Moldova and judges – members of the Board of Justice. The discussion with judges about role of the Supreme Court in creation of uniform case-law and experience of the Baltic States in this field is planned in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Moldova.
Seminar-discussion on exchange of experience is organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova with financial support of the European Commission.
