Being invited by the Supreme Court of Lithuania, group of judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia, led by the Chief Justice Ivars Bickovics, participated in the international seminar “Topicalities of jurisprudence in the Court of Justice of European Communities”, organised by the Supreme Court of Lithuania.  

Judges of Supreme courts of three Baltic States – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, participated in the seminar. Lecturers were judges of the Court of Justice of European Communities from Baltic States – Kuulike Juurimae, Vilenas Vadapalas and Ingrida Labucka. Judges of Supreme Courts of all three Baltic States participate in the seminar.

The seminar was organised in Lithuanian Judicial Training Centre in Moletai. Judges of Supreme Courts of neighbouring countries not only heard valuable conclusions for further work, but also in informal environment discussed problems that are common for judges of all three countries, and opportunities for further cooperation.
