On May 27, the ACA-Europe General Assembly in Helsinki elected Aigars Strupišs, President of Supreme Court of Latvia, as one of two Vice-Presidents of ACA-Europe.

ACA-Europe is an association of the supreme administrative jurisdictions covering 35 European countries. Its leadership, or presidency, rotates among the supreme courts and state councils of the member states every two years. The president of the organization's board is the president of the supreme court or national council of the presiding country, while one vice-president is elected from the country that presided during the previous term and the other is elected from the country that will preside during the next term.

Currently, since May 27, Greece holds the presidency, which will be taken over by Latvia in 2027–2029. Accordingly, the President of the Supreme Court of Latvia has been elected to the Board and will perform the duties of Vice-President.

The ACA-Europe presiding country is responsible for organising six seminars for the organisation's members during its two-year presidency. The seminars are organised in cooperation with other countries. Latvia has not previously held the presidency of ACA-Europe, but has been actively involved in the association's activities, including organising a seminar in Riga in 2023.

ACA-Europe is an organisation comprising the Court of Justice of the European Union and the national councils and Supreme Administrative Courts of all European Union Member States. The highest administrative jurisdictions of Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine have observer status, while the highest administrative jurisdictions of Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom have been invited to participate in the association's activities as guests. The Supreme Court of Latvia, which functions also as the supreme administrative court, has been a member of the association since 2004.

The objectives of ACA-Europe are to promote understanding of European Union law among judges of the Supreme Administrative Courts in Europe and understanding of the work of Supreme Administrative Courts in the application of EU law; to promote mutual trust and the effective functioning of administrative justice in the EU; to ensure the exchange of ideas on the implementation of the rule of law in administrative court systems and, finally, to ensure access to decisions of the Supreme Administrative Courts implementing EU law.
