The website of the Supreme Court, www.at.gov.lv, has become more compact, and a more prominent place on its homepage has been dedicated to news about court cases examined in the Senate.

The changes pertain to the fact that, since mid-June, the Judicial Council has joined the Unified Website Platform of state and local government institutions and created its own separate website www.tieslietupadome.lv. Consequently, the website of the Supreme Court had to be redesigned, which until now contained the section “Judicial Council” and included news and other information about the Council.

The new website of the Judicial Council incorporates information that had been contained in the Judicial Council section of the website of the Supreme Court since 2010, as well as new content is added.

Whereas, on the website of the Supreme Court, in the section “About Supreme Court/ Structure”, a subsection has been created on the Secretariat of the Judicial Council, which is a structural unit of the Supreme Court. A link to the website of the Judicial Council www.tieslietupadome.lv has also been created on the Supreme Court’s homepage in the section "Useful links".

The Judicial Council was established in 2010, and the law “On Judicial Power” stipulated that Council’s operation ought to be ensured by the Administration of the Supreme Court. In order to fulfil this function, a section of the Judicial Council was created on the website of the Supreme Court and the Administration provided its content and administration. The new website of the Judicial Council is created by the Secretariat of the Judicial Council.
