Exchanging experience and meeting colleagues from other courts is always valuable, and the Supreme Court was pleased to welcome Kristīne Vanaga, Deputy Chair of the Zemgale District Court, together with staff members from the Tukums, Jēkabpils, Jelgava, Bauska, Aizkraukle, Ogre, and Dobele courthouses. The visit took place on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Sandra Lapiņa, Head of Administration, presented statistics on personnel, recruitment, and professional development opportunities at the Supreme Court, noting with appreciation that, in recent years, 11 judicial assistants and advisers have gone on to become judges in courts of first instance.
Elīna Majore, Head of the Chancery, shared experience in organizing workflow processes and addressing various technological challenges common to courts across the country.
Rasma Zvejniece, Head of the Division of Communication, introduced the visitors to practical resources available on the Supreme Court’s website, while Zane Mičule, Project Manager, presented the Court’s artificial intelligence tool and customized digital solutions.
A particularly engaging and valuable exchange of experience took place between the judicial assistants and secretaries of the Zemgale District Court and the judicial assistants from the Senate’s Departments of Civil Cases and Criminal Cases. At the conclusion of the visit, the Zemgale District Court employees toured the Supreme Court’s premises, becoming acquainted with the working environment of the Court and learning more about the history of the Latvian Senate at the Supreme Court Museum.
