On Thursday, June 14, the chief justices and judges of the three supreme courts of the Baltic States will meet in Riga to look at the the development of the judiciaries of all three Baltic States in the first hundred years of the countries in a joint conference.

The annual meeting of the Supreme Courts of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia is a tradition, and it takes place in Riga in this special 100th anniversary of all Baltic States.

At the conference "Development Path of Judicial Systems of Baltic States", each court will share its historical experience, emphasizing the most important events and development processes of the supreme courts and the judiciary over a hundred years. The Supreme Court of Latvia will also invite colleagues to watch the film "Senators", translated into English for the conference.

At the end of the conference, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Latvia Ivars Bickovics, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Lithuania Rimvydas Norkus and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Estonia Priit Pikamäe will present each a significant book with a special record to the People’s Bookshelf at the National Library of Latvia.
