Authority of the Judicial Conference is stated in the Section 92 of the law “On Judicial Power”.

 The Judicial Conference:

1)      Reviews case-law issues;

2)      Submits applications on issues related with interpretation of legal standards, which should be discussed at the Plenary Session of the Supreme Court, to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court;

3)      Discusses issues of material and social insurance and other important questions of judges’ work;

4)      In secret vote, elects members of the Board of Justice for the term of four years; 

5)      In secret vote, elects the Judicial Qualifications Committee for the term of four years;  

6)      In secret vote, elects the Judicial Disciplinary Committee for the term of four years;

7)      In secret vote, elects the Commission on Judicial Ethics for the term of four years;

8)      Approves standards of the Code of Judicial Ethics.
