The Supreme Court is launching the project "Application of e-solutions in the administration of court work and in the conduct of proceedings in Ukraine during the COVID-19 crisis". The project application developed by the Supreme Court Administration and the Court Administration has received support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Development Cooperation Grant Project Competition.

On August 28, at the meeting of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court with the Board of the Latvian Association of Judges the global issues of the judicial system were discussed, emphasizing the role of a judge in today's society as one of the fundamental postulates.

In order to prepare a report to the Judicial Council on the possibilities of speeding up legal proceedings, a discussion on deadlines for hearing civil cases took place in the Supreme Court on 27 August. The discussion focused on the role of a judge in the conduct of the proceedings, the application of sanctions to the participants in the proceedings, the use of technology in courts, the improvement of expert opinions, the development of court support staff, and other issues.

On August 25, during the meeting of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Aigars Strupiss and the Chair of the Council of Sworn Advocates Janis Rozenbergs issues relevant to the judicial system were discussed, such as quality of cassation complaints and judgments, linking of trainings provided to advocates and judges, and other quality issues.
