In the Shadow Day pupils get acquainted with work of a judge of the Supreme Court

On Wednesday, the 13th of February, on the Shadow Day, ten pupils of secondary schools from Riga, Daugavpils, Valmiera, Cesis, Cesvaine, Karsava and Iecava visited the Supreme Court, getting acquainted daily routine of the court and work of a judge of the Supreme Court.

The President will visit the Supreme Court

To get acquainted with topical issues in work of the Supreme Court, on Friday, the 15th of February, Andris Berzins, the President of the State, will visit the Supreme Court. It will be the first visit of the President to the Supreme Court.

V.Donans, the judge of regional court, resumes execution of a judge of the Supreme Court

The Council of Justice instructed Vilis Donans, the judge of Zemgale regional court, to execute duties of a judge of the Chamber of Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court during the time of a vacancy of the judge, and on the 8th of February the judge resumes execution of his duties in the Supreme Court.

The Department of Administrative Cases of the Senate organises a “TV-bridge” with administrative courts

The Department of Administrative Cases of the Senate of the Supreme Court on the 1st of February celebrated the ninth anniversary of coming of the Administrative Procedure Law into force and of commencement of operation of administrative courts organising a “TV-bridge” – connecting in videoconference with Administrative regional court and Administrative district court.
