The Disciplinary Court was convened in the Senate of the Supreme Court on September, 30, to verify rule of law of negative statement given by the Judicial Qualification Committee, which was appealed against by a judge of a city court.

The Saeima grants the title of Judge Emeritus to four former senators

On September 12, the Saeima (the Parliament) adopted decision to award former senators of the Supreme Court – Rolands Krauze, Roberts Guntis Namatevs, Rita Saulite and Valda Eilande – with the title of the Judge Emeritus.
