On 8 May, during the visit to Latvia, internationally recognised expert in the EU competition law, the Professor at King’s College in London Alison Jones visited the Supreme Court.

During the visit, the Professor met Ivars Bickovics, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. During the meeting Alison Jones presented book on the EU competition law “EU Competition law: Text, Cases and Materials” (5th ed., Oxford University Press, 2014)”, as she is its co-author. The book was presented to the library of the Supreme Court.      

Professor Jones also visited the museum of the Supreme Court and saw historical Palace of Justice.

During her visit to Latvia, Professor Alison Jones read guest lecture on the EU competition law “Identifying restrictions “by object” in European Union Competition Law”. The visit was organised by the association “Latvian Law Institute” with support of the Competition Council, the Supreme Court, Riga Latvian Society and journal “Jurista Vārds” (“Lawyer’s Word”).
