This year’s topic of annual meeting of the Supreme Courts of Baltic States is – the judicial reform and the organization and administration of judicial systems. The representatives of all three Baltic States will share experience regarding topical matters during the meeting of 15-16 June in Pärnu, Estonia.

In recent years in Estonia issues such as the centralization of different court services, revision of the judicial map, as well as organization of judicial proceedings (narrowing grounds for submitting appeals and cassations) have been raised. "It is very important to get acquainted with current experiences of the Baltic States and future trends," states Priit Pikamäe, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Estonia.

Participants from the Supreme Court of Latvia are Chief Justice Ivars Bickovics, and chairs of all three departments Edite Vernusa, Peteris Dzalbe and Veronika Krumina.
